The Salvation Army Martinsburg Online Red Kettle Campaign, launched in November 2025, allows anyone to create and share a virtual kettle to raise funds for neighbors in need. With just a few clicks, you can invite friends, family, and coworkers to give and make a real difference.
For more than a century, The Salvation Army Red Kettles have been a symbol of hope during the Christmas season. The Online Red Kettle Campaign is the digital version of that trusted tradition — making it easy to support local families right from home.
Every donation helps provide food, utility assistance, and hope to those facing hardship.
Create your own online kettle and share it — similar to a “GoFundMe”-style fundraiser. When your friends and family give through your virtual kettle, you become part of changing lives right here in our community.
Each year, we recognize an outstanding supporter who goes above and beyond.
Our 2025 Award Winner, Ms. Nadine, joined the campaign with a goal of raising $1,000. By reaching out to friends and family through email, she exceeded her goal — raising more than $1,200 to support neighbors in need.
In recognition of her efforts, a Berkeley County Commissioner presented her with an award plaque at the February 11, 2026, Advisory Board Meeting.
Through her leadership and generosity, she inspired others to give and made a lasting impact on the families we serve. We are deeply grateful for those committed to our mission.
Online Red Kettle donations truly change lives. Your generosity at Christmastime helps care for homeless and struggling families locally, while also supporting over 27 million people served annually through Salvation Army programs nationwide.
Because of donors like you, families receive more than groceries or clothing — they receive compassion, encouragement, and hope.
Kenneth has been faithfully coming to The Salvation Army food pantry for over a year. Due to ongoing health challenges, he is currently on disability. Even though he carefully budgets every dollar he receives, it is never quite enough to fully cover his basic needs.
Each month, the food pantry helps bridge that gap. As Kenneth shares, “The Salvation Army makes a real difference in my life by providing a generous food box each month.” That support eases his financial burden and brings him peace of mind, knowing he will have food on the table.
Kenneth’s gratitude goes beyond words. Last year, he volunteered to ring the kettle bells during the Christmas season — wanting to give back in the small way he could. He often says that he truly loves The Salvation Army and appreciates not only the food assistance, but the kindness and care he receives.
Kenneth’s story is a reminder that sometimes a simple box of groceries can provide more than nourishment — it can provide hope.
Dira lives on Social Security and carefully budgets, yet rising costs make it difficult to stretch her income each month.
For more than 10 years, she has relied on help from the food pantry. Knowing she can receive groceries when funds are tight eases her stress and helps her make it through each month.
One program she especially loves is the Family Gift Box. She shares, “The clothes are always such a blessing, and I especially appreciate the clothing for the kids. Seeing them have something new to wear brings so much joy.”
She also served as a Bell Ringer, saying it felt good to give back. Dira describes The Salvation Army as “truly a blessing to our community,” providing not only food and clothing, but hope, kindness, and dignity.
When you give this Christmas, you help write a different story for someone in need. Your gift becomes warm meals, safe shelter, and comfort for families facing hard times. Every dollar placed in the Virtual Red Kettle stays in your community, bringing joy and hope close to home.
Thank you for opening your heart and making a difference today.
