Emergency Assistance

Due to the generosity of our community, The Salvation Army of Martinsburg is able to assist with utility expenses, such as Potomac Edison, water, and gas, depending on the availability of funds.

To receive our services, you must provide COPIES of the following items:

  • Photo ID
  • 2 Proofs of Residence (Lease, mail with address, etc.)
  • Proof of Income
  • Termination of Service Notice (Account must be in your name)
  • Utility Bill

**Our appointments are made on a first come, first serve basis.

At the time of your appointment, you will need to complete and sign a few more items, so please arrive 10 minutes early. Our application includes a section related to your expenses. Be prepared to answer that question. If you are approved, we will process your application as quickly as possible.
